Plötulopi is a product made of pure Icelandic unspun wool and is traditionally used to make authentic multicolored Icelandic sweaters, thanks to its rich and vibrant colorations that strongly resemble the unspoiled landscapes of the northern European island.

A single strand of Plötulopi is very delicate and must be handled with care, but don't worry if it breaks during work: simply rub the two ends gently between your fingers and you'll be ready to resume your project.

The single strand can be reinforced by lightly twisting it or knitting it with another thin yarn. We recommend starting work by pulling from the center of the ball to minimize the risk of the yarn breaking.

Plötulopi can be used as a single strand or held double or even more: in this case, it creates exceptionally light and airy fabrics. 

Once knitted, thanks to the unique characteristics of Icelandic wool, this product will prove to be surprisingly durable.

Plötulopi is also excellent for felting and hand spinning.

Recommended needle size for single strand knitting: 4 - 4.5 mm

Hand wash in lukewarm water. Dry flat.
